St Oliver Plunkett PS received the Pearson National Teaching Award in front of millions of BBC viewers The Unique Show.
The school was named Primary School of the Year That Makes a Difference for its “unwavering commitment to students and the wider school community.”
Eve Bremner, chief executive officer of the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS), said the honor was a wonderful recognition of the hard work and commitment of the school’s staff.
“Inclusion is at the heart of Catholic school ethics and St Oliver Plunkett PS is a great example of how our schools develop and care for all children; as well as engaging with the wider community, with other schools and organizations,” he said.
